Work Continues For Election Office

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA– It was a busy night for the Tuolumne County Elections office but their work is far from done.

There are about 3,000 vote-by-mail ballots that were dropped off at voting sites that still need to be counted, according to County Clerk Debi Russell. Local school bond measures G and H, as well as some school board races and are subject to change once the final ballots are counted.

Russell expects the final numbers to be tabulated by the end of the day tomorrow and believes the county could have a 70% voter turnout which is 5-10 percent above the state average.
