Sonora, CA — Want to make sure your vote counts this primary election? Then you have to get your ballot in on time.

Almost 70 percent of the ballots in Tuolumne County are vote by mail.

Tuolumne County’s Clerk and Auditor/Controller, Debi Russell, says you have plenty of time to get your ballots counted. She says the Clerk’s Office is open all this week and Saturday from 9 to 1 for voters to drop off their ballots. Voters can also drop them off at polling areas.

If you are dropping off or mailing in your ballot it must be in by 8pm on Tuesday, if not your vote will not count.

The primary is next Tuesday, June 5.
