Sponsored by:

Update at 3 p.m.: Tuolumne County roads officials have postponed the tree removal work that was supposed to begin today along Twain Harte Road until tomorrow, Wednesday, May 1st. Crews were waiting on a crane to arrive, which road officials say came this afternoon. They add that tree work on other side roads in the Twain Harte area are scheduled through May 10th and could disrupt traffic, but no schedule has yet been released.

Original post at 10:32 a.m. Saturday(April 27): Twain Harte, CA – Motorists will face delays and a detour along a section of a main thoroughfare in Twain Harte beginning next week and continuing into the second week of May.

Arbor work being done by a subcontractor for PG&E will shut down Twain Harte Drive from Marquis Drive to the Twain Harte Professional Plaza, which is located at 22629 on that roadway. Tuolumne County roads officials relay that the public will still have access to the businesses in that plaza.

The hazard tree removal is scheduled for weekdays and begins on Tuesday, April 30 and will run until Friday, May 10th. Hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The tree trimming will stop on the weekends, allowing for travel along Twain Harte Drive, according to County road officials.

A detour route will be in place with signage to direct motorists. Travelers are asked to slow down, especially when workers or equipment are present.
