Snowmobile enthusiasts are reminded to keep their over-the-snow vehicles within designated wilderness travel routes while in the Stanislaus National Forest.
A group of three snowmobilers were stopped in the Hiram Peak area of the Carson-Iceberg Wilderness and cited for traveling out of the designated areas.
According to Calaveras District Ranger Rob Griffith, this is the second time this winter citations have been issued for out of boundary violations by snowmobile operators.
