Lettuce Prices Head Back Down
The price of lettuce is heading back down to normal once again.
Extreme shortages had pushed prices up last month and forced consumers to pay nearly three dollars for each head of lettuce, shocking many grocery shoppers in the produce aisle.
Prices have dropped by nearly 50 percent since then but are still higher than six months ago.
Cold weather in Southern California and Arizona stunted lettuce crops and harvests earlier this year.
