A logging protester who used his body, a concrete block and an old car to block a Santa Cruz mountain road was fined and placed on probation yesterday.
Twenty-year-old Michael Lewis Fine was given three years probation, a $200 fine and was told not to leave California.
Fine also must pay an undetermined amount to the Redwood Empire Timber Company, whose logging operation he interrupted last year.
