Fires In Mountain Ranch

Calaveras County fire crews were at the scene of several small vegetation fires along Mountain Ranch Road this morning.
Two spot fires were reported near Willow Creek, Another fire, the largest of the three, was located about a mile further up the road.
Fire officials believe the fires were started by sparks from dragging equipment on a truck hauling a backhoe on a trailer.
All three fires were reported contained at 11:25 a.m.
