Mother Lode Visitors Arrested On Drug Charges
Sonora, CA — Two Modesto residents were arrested in the Mother Lode on drug charges over the weekend.
Early Sunday morning Tuolumne County Sheriff´s deputies spotted a suspicious vehicle parked on Cherokee Rd. After being interviewed 49 year old Modesto resident Christopher Anderson was arrested for possession of a glass smoking pipe.
Deputies also discovered a backpack with baggies with a large amount of suspected methamphetamine. Anderson told deputies the backpack belonged to 45 year old Benjamin Acosta of Modesto who had been dropped off at Black Oak Casino. Deputies then proceeded to the casino and arrested Acosta.
