How can I encourage my child to exercise?

My child doesn’t like any of the sports we’ve signed her up for. How can I encourage her to exercise if she doesn’t seem to like any activity?

Honestly, exercise isn’t fun if you are forced or told to do it. A sport should match a child’s ability and maturation. Young children have naturally short attention spans, so any activity should be geared to their interests and abilities. It should be fun without pressure and should be geared for success. There are team and individual activities — which one do you think she would do better with? Are any of her friends participating? Exercise can be anything such as dance, yoga, playing at the park, or walking the dog. It helps a lot if the kids see the parents being active.
