Crow’s Attorney Seeks Appeal

Sponsored by:

The attorney for Olympic swimmer Tammy Crow is asking for her to be released from jail, on the grounds that the county public defender who originally represented Crow is mentally unbalanced.

Crow began serving her 90-day sentence last month, and her lawyer, Michael Morrisey, submitted the appeal two days later.

Crow was convicted of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter in the deaths of her boyfriend 26-year-old Cody Tatro, and 12-year-old Brett Slinger.

She was allowed to compete in the 2004 Athens Olympic Games before beginning her sentence.
