Libraries To Close For Computer Upgrades

Book-borrowers beware…

For just over a week, you won´t have access to any new books from the Tuolumne County Library branches, except one.

“There will be the law library open, downtown, from November 29th through December 2nd on its regular hours,” says Connie Corcoran with the library.

They´re upgrading their entire library computer system, and it might take some time, however new features are being added.

“It will be easier for them to look things up at home and place requests, and say which branch they would like to pick their books up at. They will also be able to renew them through their computer, and receive email or telephone notifications in advance of when they´re due back,” Corcoran explains.

And throughout the month of December, Corcoran says, they´ll even be letting the late fees slide…

“…because of the inconvenience of being closed. They can return all of their items any time in December with no late fees. That´s helpful to us, too,” Corcoran added.
