Calaveras Looks At Park Improvements And Mosquito Issues

Sponsored by:

San Andreas, CA — The Calaveras County Board of Supervisors meet again this Tuesday and this time they will look at park improvements and mosquito issues.

First up the board will consider authorizing the Murphys Community Club to proceed with a fundraiser for a project to improve the entrances of Murphys Park. The county owns the park and has a lease agreement with the community club to run it.

Then in a study session presented by the Environmental Management Agency, the board will hear an update on the mosquito and vector control program. The agency is looking for direction on whether to continue the program in house or create a district. Discussion will be given on the district´s make up and potential funding for either option.

The board meets at 9 a.m., Tuesday at the county Government Center in San Andreas.
