Sonora, CA — At four o’clock this afternoon the new Phoenix Lake Rd. Bridge will be open because unsafe conditions have forced the closure of Crystal Falls Drive.
Tuolumne County Public Works Director Peter Rei is urging motorists to use caution if traveling across the Phoenix Lake Bridge as it does not have all the guardrails installed. Crews are placing barriers up so that vehicles can travel safely. The roadway and surface are completed.
Crystal Falls Drive was being used as an alternative route for vehicles while construction work is taking place on the Phoenix Lake Bridge. The bridge will remain open until further notice.
