Two Injured In Crash

West Point, CA — Two were injured in a vehicle accident early Sunday morning in Calaveras County.
The CHP says 19 year old Eric A. Buhl of Linden was traveling on Highway 26 east of Winton Road near West Point. His 1997 Honda went off the roadway around 2am, struck a tree and came to a stop approximately 20 feet down an embankment.
The CHP says speed and intoxication contributed to the incident. Buhl was taken to Mercy San Juan in Sacramento with moderate injuries. A 17 year old juvenile passenger was taken to Sutter Amador with moderate injuries, and a third passenger was not injured.
