CDF Airtankers Called Into Duty

California Division of Forestry and Fire Protection´s airtanker, helicopter and spotter plane– all based in Columbia– have been called into action around 12:15 p.m. this afternoon.
The CDF firefighting aircraft are headed to battle a wildfire burning on the Amador -El Dorado county line.
There´s no fires reported in Tuolumne or Calaveras counties at this time. The aircraft will be seen and heard flying over our area as they head to and from that fire to the north of Sonora.
