Concurrent Sentences Means 25 Years for Leash
Suspect Neal Alden Leash will spend 25 years in prison, after being convicted on child molestation and child pornography counts in superior court and federal court.
The 47-year-old San Andreas man was sentenced Friday, in Calaveras County Superior Court.
Leash had also been sentenced recently to 14 years in federal prison, after a plea agreement from federal prosecutors.
However, the sentences will be served at the same time, so Leash will be eligible for parole in the year 2029.
Leash worked for the California Department of Corrections for over twenty years, including almost ten years at the Sierra Conservation Center near Jamestown.
