My five-year-old child is very energetic and fearless. I would like to encourage his participation in sports like skiing and football but how can I make sure he won’t get hurt?
Not only are sports good ways for kids to burn excess energy, but they also provide good places for kids to learn new social and physical skills, develop discipline, and to make new friends. That said, you really can’t make sure that an injury won’t happen. But you can make sure that your child has proper, well-fitted equipment, and that he is supervised by a knowledgeable coach or instructor who can teach basics and understands your child’s maturation and abilities.
