Calaveras County fire crews returned the the scene of an earlier fire at the Hogan Reservoir yesterday
afternoon. An acre and a half of grass burned between the control lines for the earlier blaze, keeping firefighters busy for several hours.

During the
course of the afternoon a second fire broke out nearby at Vista Del Lago near Valley Springs. It burned about a half acre. No one was hurt.
