Calaveras County Residents Should Disinfect Water

Sponsored by:

Calaveras, CA– Due to the excessive amount of water pouring in over the last few days, sewage has been seeping into the drinking waters in Valley Springs.

According to the Stockton record newspaper The Valley Springs Utility District sewage plant was back in full working order on Friday helping eliminate the problem. Calaveras County residents are still being encouraged to disinfect their well and home water due to the mass amount of diseases that could now be in the water.

In addition, the Calaveras County Water District has declared a state of emergency in fear that if there is more rain fall; sewage ponds could overflow bringing more hazards to residents.
