Copperopolis Attempted Murder

Copperopolis, CA — A Copperopolis man has been arrested for attempted murder.
The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department says 27-year-old Gino Macedo fired shots from a .22 caliber rifle into a home in the 900 block of Sequoia Circle earlier this week.
It is the home of Macedo’s ex-girlfriend. Macedo also allegedly threw two rocks, shattering a pair of windows.
No one was injured during the incident. Macedo faces additional charges of vandalism and being under the influence of alcohol and drugs. He is being held on $685,000 bail.
