Flea Market On Agenda
Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Planning Commission will decide whether to green-light plans for a new flea market that would be located off Tuolumne Road.
The application has been submitted by James R. Medeiros, and calls for a flea market to run on numerous weekends at the Gold Mine Storage Property. County documents show that it would operate no more than 22 weekends per year, and use a rotating schedule. It would run on the first and third weekends during one month, and then the second weekend during the following month.
The Planning Commission will vote on August 1st whether to issue a conditional use permit. The proponents application calls for a maximum of 25 vendor spaces, parking accommodations for over 150 vehicles, a food vendor tent, and the possibility of featuring live or recorded outdoor music. The property is located at 18600 Eagle Ridge Drive.
The Planning Commission will meet at 6pm on August 1st in the Board of Supervisors meeting room.
