Three Arrested For Exceeding Medical Pot Guidelines

Sponsored by:

Three men from a San Andreas family are charged with criminal cultivation and possession of marijuana.

52-year-old Wesley Crosiar Senior, 30-year-old Wesley Crosiar Junior, and 21-year-old David Crosiar each had doctors´ recommendations to grow marijuana for medical reasons. But a total of 138 plants were found in five different sites on the Crosiars property, and officials say that´s more than is allowed. Calaveras County allows six plants per patient, and up to two pounds of processed marijuana.

The trio was not arrested, but will need to appear in court next month for arraignment on cultivation and possession charges. They could lose their property to the federal government, which is allowed to seize property that it believes was used for criminal activity.
