Former Jenny Lind Teacher Sentenced For Photographing Students
San Andreas, CA — A former 5th grade teacher at Jenny Lind Elementary School will spend 90 days in the county jail after pleading guilty to a charge of possessing offensive photographs.
Prosecutors say 54-year-old Wesley Levi will also serve three years probation and be required to register as a sex offender. The District Attorney´s Office says Levi confessed to using a concealed camera to photograph students for inappropriate reasons.
The teacher will also have to undergo counseling as a part of his sentence. Levi was fired from his job at the school around the time he was arrested last year. The DA says Levi seems to be showing remorse, and that he received a fair sentence.
