The Creek fire near Groveland is now fully contained. 11,183 acres have been consumed in the blaze.
CDF reports 11 homes and 24 outbuildings have been lost to the fire. 12 injuries have been reported since the blaze began, none of them were
serious.
Heavy lift helicopters are over the fire continuing water drops as mop-up operations begin. Those are expected to go on for the next couple of
weeks. A helicopter equipped with infra-red cameras are over the area searching for hot spots. An arsonist started the fire last weekend along 49 near Pinon
Blanco Road. Anyone who might be able to help find that person or persons is asked to call the Sonora CDF office at 532-0821.
