Local Developer Donates Land To Habitat For Humanity

Sonora, CA — Habitat for Humanity of Tuolumne County has received a parcel of land valued at $45,000, donated by a local area developer.
Tom Porter of The Deerwood Corporation signed over the 2.4-acre lot on Banderilla Drive in LaGrange.
Porter says Habitat for Humanity has one of the most successful homeownership programs in the country for families in need.
He says his corporation is proud to support Tuolumne County Habitat´s goal of building one home a year.
Organizers plan on selling the lot and using the proceeds to help fund construction of their fifth home in Tuolumne County.
