Mother Lode Foreclosure Numbers On The Rise

Sonora, CA — Foreclosure notices have shown a marked increase in just the past month.
According to Tuolumne County Assistant Recorder Patsy Knox the trustee’s deed which is the final foreclosure action has jumped from 13 to 24 for an 85 percent increase in one month’s time.
The initial step in the process is the number of notices of defaults. That has decreased from 65 to 43 in a January to February comparison.
The notice of trustee sales is the second step and that has remained the same for both months at 29.
