No Toe-dipping At Tuolumne Pool ‘Til Saturday

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — Recreaters who use the community pool in Tuolumne City will have to wait until Saturday to take their first dip of the season.

Due to water clarity issues, the Tuolumne Pool will again be closed Thursday. This will continue to impact the aquatics fitness and recreation swim programs and activities. The pool, which was to have opened yesterday to commence with an every-other-day schedule, could not open due for the same reason, according to county Parks and Rec officials. However, the pool is slated to be ready to open, as scheduled, this Saturday.

This swim season, as previously reported here, a shortage of lifeguards has impacted the programs and activities at all four county pools, which are located at Sonora High, Columbia Elementary, and in downtown Twain Harte and Tuolumne City. For more details or further information on Tuolumne County summer rec programs, including its aquatics offerings, call 209 533-5663.
