Firefighters Busy Today In Motherlode

Firefighters have been busy in the Motherlode today with grass fires. Crews needed an hour to corral a
three acre blaze on River Ranch Road off Highway 49 near San Andreas. Crews were also needed to fight a two acre blaze on Seuss Marie Road also in
Calaveras County. No reports of any injuries or damages in either case. Crews needed two hours to surround that fire.
Causes of both fires are under
investigation.
