Military Satellite Launched From Vandenberg

A rocket launched at Vandenberg Air Force Base this morning carried a military satellite to monitor the Earth´s weather and also solar storms that can affect communications. The launch at 6:19 a.m. follows several delays last month and again yesterday due to weather and technical problems. Mission spokesman Master Sergeant Lloyd Conely said everything went well in the launch this morning of the $223 million Coriolis satellite.
