Nesler To Face Murder Trial

Sponsored by:

A preliminary hearing yesterday for murder suspect William Nesler ended with the decision that Nesler will stand trial for the death of a 45-year-old Sonora man in July.

In addition, Judge Douglas Boyack ordered a trial for Dean Phillips, the man charged as an accessory to the crime two months afterward.

David Edward Davis was killed an hour after Nesler´s release from the Tuolumne County Jail where Nesler had been due to a previous incident with Davis.

The dispute between the two reportedly began with large amount of trash which had accumulated on the Nesler´s property.

Nesler was unhappy with the cleaning job done by Davis.

Both Nesler and Phillips are in the Tuolumne County Jail.

Arraignment is set for next Monday, October 25th.
