When should women stop getting pap smears?

Assuming the woman has never had any abnormal pap smears and is in a stable relationship, after three normal annual pap smears could stop at age 65. Annual pelvic examinations are still recommended. If a woman has had a hysterectomy for a non-cancerous condition it is reasonable to stop getting pap smears after the surgery.
