Big Trees Biking
Bikes are allowed on any of Big Trees park’s fire/dirt roads. All are shown on the park map. Dogs on leash are allowed on these roads as well. You can purchase a Bicycling Guide to the park in the Visitor Center ($1.00).
The Calaveras Big Trees / South Loop Mountain Bike Trail.
Take Memorial Parkway to the end past Beaver Creek Picnic Area. A fire road starts on other side of the gate. Stay right on road until your past the bridge. Then go right at first crossing, right at second crossing, and left at the second crossing. Then just stay left for the loop, very, very rustic, no tracks.
Day use fees of $10 to $12 unless you have a California Parks Pass. Take many photos but remember to stay on the trails and leave the pinecones and other objects where they are. Other information is in the Big Trees Hiking Page.
