Sponsored by:

Railroad Flat, CA — A Calaveras County man accused of leading Sheriff’s deputies on a high speed chase, and striking a man with a baseball bat has been arrested.

Back on December 3rd, deputies tried to pull over Jakob Aaron Main after his vehicle crossed over double yellow lines. During the chase, Main lost control of his vehicle and collided with a tree. He fled the scene on foot and was not captured.

On December 18th, deputies learned that a man was admitted to Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital after being struck by a baseball bat on his forearm. The person with the bat was allegedly Main. He also reportedly tried to stab the victim with a screw driver, but it was deflected.

Earlier this week, deputies performed a search warrant on Ridge Road in Railroad Flat and located Main. He attempted to escape by jumping through a window. Main was quickly captured and arrested. An investigation also found that he was in possession of a stolen vehicle. Main is being held in Calaveras County Jail.
