Read Mail button missing after upgrade to new Internet Explorer version

Question: I upgraded Internet Explorer to version 7 but now my Read Mail button is missing, where can I find it and how can I access my emails?

Answer: If you did a Windows update recently and it upgraded your Internet Explorer from version 6 to version 7, you may have a hard time finding the Read Mail button that you were used to. Never fear, you can get it back! What you will need to do is first open Internet Explorer, then right click on the gray area in between the Tabs and the Home button. When you do that you will see a menu come up, select the last option to Customize Command Bar. A sub-menu will appear, select the last option again, which says Add or Remove Commands… After that you will get an window titled Customize Toolbar. In that window there will be icons on the left and right side. Icons on the left side are ones that you can add to your Command Bar, icons on the right are ones that are already in your Command Bar. Select the icon on the left side that you want to add, then click the Add button to move it over to the right. In this case you will select the Read Mail button and click Add to get over to the right side. If there is an icon in the Command Bar that you do not want or use, you can select it and click the Remove button, which will place it back on the left side. If you want to rearrange the order of the icons in your Command Bar, select the icon on the right hand side and click the Move Up or Move Down button to move it up or down on the list. The higher up on the list the further left the icon will be in the Command Bar. Once you have finished adding, removing, and rearranging the icons, select Close to close the window and save your changes.
