We expect to see numerous birds (and fish) at the Mokelumne River Day Use area and river walk to the Comanche Dam/fish hatchery and then on to the Lodi area to see the Sandhill Cranes as they fly in at sunset. The group will meet in Sonora at Barrow’s (formerly Perkos) at 8 am and carpool to the Comanche Dam, an approximately 70 to 80-minute drive. Driving instructions will be provided for the day’s activities. Brief stops will be made in Copperopolis and Valley Springs for others to join us.
