A free hands-on educational workshop for the public will be hosted by the Mother Lode Bonsai Club on Saturday, September 6. The meeting starts at 10 a.m. with the workshop immediately following. Location is the San Andreas Central Library, 1299 Gold Hunter Road (off Mountain Ranch Road) in San Andreas.
This is an opportunity for anyone with an interest in bonsai to ask questions and learn more about raising “trees in a pot.” If available, nursery tree stock should be provided by participants for the workshop. Repotting, styling and pruning ideas will be suggested by experienced club mentors.
A raffle will be held for bonsai materials and members will also have trees available for purchase.
Mother Lode Bonsai Club members come from Amador, Calaveras and Tuolumne counties, as well as the central valley. Everyone is invited to attend regardless of levels of experience.
