Social Media Comment Policy

Clarke Broadcasting Corporation uses social media platforms to connect and interact with our audiences from our three radio stations and mymotherlode.com. This policy covers any and all social media platforms in current and future use.

As we are very much in the public eye, we encourage interaction and communi-cation about the content we post on our social media accounts. This, however, does not imply that Clarke Broadcasting agrees with and accepts the content, opinions or views expressed with any public comment. The individual(s) who post(s) comment(s) is solely responsible for the content of the comment. While we do not discriminate against views or opinions posted to our social media accounts, we reserve the right to remove or not approve any comment. Parts of a comment will not be edited or modified to remove unacceptable content: the entire comment will simply be deleted.

Comments may be removed or deleted for any of the following reasons:

  • Obscene, abusive, vulgar, threatening or harassing content are considered detrimental to community dialogue including inappropriate language and anything antagonistic toward a person, group or business will not be posted.
  • Libel, slander or personal attacks of any kind, including the use of offensive terms that target one specific individual or group.
  • Spam including content that promotes products or services that could include gratuitous links.
  • Unsupported accusations.
  • Suggesting or encouraging illegal, dangerous or destructive activities.
  • Duplicate or repetitive.
  • Off topic comments.
  • Political campaigning or lobbying.
  • Posts by anyone claiming to be or appearing to be under the age of 13.

Repeated offenses of this type could result in permanent blocking from all Clarke Broadcasting Corporation social media interactions.
