Scalloped Potatoes with Smoked Sausage

This is a delicious twist on the original, using diced beef smoked sausage instead of ham for flavoring. Try this as a side dish alongside a turkey or ham and I can almost guarantee it will upstage the main entrée with your family and kids.
|8||medium||potatoes peeled and sliced thin|
|8||oz||beef smoked sausage diced|
|3||tablespoon||butter or margarine|
In a large steel bowl, whisk together the milk, flour, and seasonings until well blended and no lumps. Layer the potatoes and sausage pieces in a medium (9" x 9") baking dish or casserole pan. Pour the milk-flour mixture over the potatoes and then place pats of butter over the top. Cover with cheese and place in a preheated 350-degree oven. Bake 1 ½ hours until sauce is thickened and potatoes are tender, serve immediately and enjoy!
