Garlic Glazed Chicken with Almonds

This is an extremely quick and easy to make meal that still manages to have a gourmet result. With no marinating required it is a meal that literally takes 20 minutes from start to finish, and that includes putting rice in the steamer.

1 | cup | garlic flavored roasted almonds |
1 1/2 | tablespoon | chopped garlic |
2 | tablespoon | soy sauce |
2 | tablespoon | light corn syrup |
1 | tablespoon | vegetable oil |
1 | tablespoon | cornstarch added to ¼ cup water |
2 | tablespoon | toasted sesame seeds for garnish |
To prepare:
Heat a wok or stir-fry pan over high heat until shimmering hot, add the oil and immediately pour in the chicken breasts and garlic. Stir fry over high heat until the chicken begins to turn white. Add in the almonds, soy sauce, and corn syrup and continue to stir constantly. Stir in the cornstarch/water mixture and return to a boil to thicken. Serve immediately over steamed rice with sesame seeds sprinkled on top.
