Vice
A comedic, somewhat of a free-form documentary approach, portraying Dick Cheney’s becoming one of the most powerful Vice Presidents in U.S. history. Young Cheney is portrayed as a college drop out until his wife, Lynne (Amy Adams), threatens to leave him. As a 1968 congressional intern he becomes smitten with politics and is influenced by President Richard Nixon’s associate Donald Rumsfeld (Steve Carell). Produced by Gary Sanchez Productions and Plan B, Rated R, 132 minutes
“Tragically funny and hilariously tragic..” -Todd McCarthy –The Hollywood Reporter “There’s nothing surprising or especially interesting about Vice… anyone with a rudimentary knowledge of politics will find the terrain familiar and a little stale.” -James Berardinelli –Reelviews
