It’s time to Register for Sierra HOPE’s Annual
Walk for Hope Fundraiser at Big Trees State Park!
A “Walk in the Park” Raises Money to Prevent Hunger & Homelessness

Sign in: 9 to 11 am walk 9 am to 2 pm

Sierra HOPE, is excited to announce that our annual fundraiser is back at Calaveras Big Trees State Park and will take place Saturday, September 24, 2022. Registration for teams is now open and if you want to help raise funds for Sierra HOPE, a local organization on the front lines of providing supportive services for members of the Sierra Foothills communities of Tuolumne, Amador and Calaveras counties you can register here. Participants can walk independently, or form teams to raise funds. Every step counts!

“Last year we walked together, but with an uptick in Covid, we want people to know that if they can absolutely walk wherever they feel safest,” said Jerry Cadotte, Executive Director, Sierra HOPE. “Plus, we have fans from all over and travel sometimes isn’t possible – but people still walk and raise money for Sierra HOPE.” Participants who can make it to Big Trees will enjoy music and a healthy lunch after they walk and as always Walk T-shirts will be distributed. For those who walk elsewhere – they’ll get their T-shirts mailed in advance.

Sierra HOPE operates several programs to help area residents meet basic needs for food and housing, including a weekly food pantry, transitional housing for families with children, permanent supportive housing for people with disabilities, and assistance with rents and deposits to help people move from housing insecurity to permanent housing. Their HIV/AIDS program helps people who are living with HIV access appropriate care and services to manage this chronic disease and prevent new infections. HIV/AIDS services are now available in six rural central Sierra counties: Amador, Calaveras, Tuolumne, Alpine, Mono and Inyo.

Join Sierra HOPE Saturday, September 24, 2022 in the annual Walk for Hope and help raise funds to support their vital work in the tri-county area.

Form teams, reach out for donations, and then walk for HOPE and have some fun! Those that raise $100 will get a commemorative T-shirt and lunch will be provided. Register on the Sierra HOPE website today or follow the link at www.sierrahope.org.
