Volunteers with the American Red Cross in Tuolumne County are organizing a community outreach event focused on safety and preparedness. On average, the American Red Cross Gold Country Region responds to home fires every eight hours. In addition to home fires, volunteers in the region respond to flooding, wildfires, lightning strikes, and more. Being prepared can help save lives.
On Sunday December 10th from 11am-4pm, come to the American Red Cross Blood Donor Center to learn how you can be more prepared in case of an emergency. Learn hands-only CPR, find out what to put into your go-kit, how often you should test smoke alarms, and more. Local fire departments and law enforcement officers will also be on hand with their rigs to give safety information. Santa will be giving gifts to kids (while supplies last), we’ll have delicious treats for kids of all ages, plus a few raffle prizes.
This is a great family event with a special purpose and best of all the event is FREE.
