The Motherlode Weavers and Spinners guild is passing on looms, spinning wheels, books, magazines, fibers, yarn, dyeing, basketry equipment and supplies to good homes. We hope to promote a love for Fiber Arts. Everything is priced to sell, especially to new, younger weavers and spinners that can not afford brand new, expensive supplies and equipment.
Our guild meets at the Church of the 49ers in Columbia and the 2nd Tuesday of the month. We host a spinning group called “Studio 49” the 2nd Saturday of the month at the Sonora library. Another spinning group meets on the 4th Tuesday each month. Our mission is to pass on these skills to others, so we demonstrate at Columbia, schools, parks, etc.
