The Memorial Hall Antique Fair is produced by two sisters: Kristen Kestly and Jennifer Agnes under the business name, Vintage Chix. We put together two shows a year: near Valentine’s Day and sometime mid-October. The two-day Antique Fair is held at the Veteran’s Memorial Hall located in the center of the little town of Tuolumne approximately eight miles east of Sonora. The Antique Fair is all inside with either heat or air-conditioning as needed and a good security system overnight making this a safe and comfortable event for our customers and vendors.
This is our ninth year. We strive to make each Antique Fair better than the last one. The Antique Fair opens from 8 am to 4 pm on Saturday and 10 am to 3 pm on Sunday. The first hour on Saturday morning is a pre-view, buyers pay a small entrance fee ($5) for the privilege of shopping early. This is very popular with serious buyers so we require our vendors be ready to go at 8 am on Saturday morning.
The Veteran’s Memorial Hall is a large depression-era building surrounded by a lovely shaded park and lots of parking. The building host lots of activities all year long and is cared for and treasured by the little community of Tuolumne.
Part of the success of this Antique Fair is the quality of merchandise offered by our vendors. We have many customers who have happily returned each year to this event. The focus is on antique and vintage for our Antique Fair: we are only approving vendors who have truly vintage and antique wares, or artisan-crafted items made of true vintage bits. It can be fun, funky old stuff, shabby chic, primitives, rustic, or finer antiques.
Directions:
From West: travel east on Highway 108/120 a little past Sonora to the ‘Mono Way’ exit. Turn right at the end of the exit for a mile to the right turn onto ‘Tuolumne Road’, just before the Junction Shopping Center. Travel NE approximately 7 miles to the town of Tuolumne, At the light, turn right and follow signs less than half a mile, eventually turning right to see the Memorial Hall to your right.
From North: travel south on Highway 49 through Sonora, on Washington Street all the way o the intersection of Highway 108, turn left. Proceed to next exit the ‘Mono Way’ exit. Turn right at the end of the exit for a mile to the right turn onto ‘Tuolumne Road’, just before the Junction Shopping Center. Travel NE approximately 7 miles to the town of Tuolumne. At the light, turn right and follow signs less than half a mile, eventually turning right to see the Memorial Hall to your right.
