Central Sierra Audubon Society (CSAS) is planning a visit to Merced Wildlife Refuge to see Sandhill Cranes and many other migratory birds that are now arriving at the refuge on their migration south. Trip leader Kit DeGear (925) 822-5215 or kdegear@ gmail.com, will meet participants at 2 pm at the refuge’s first overlook. The group will make one or two circuits of the auto route and watch the sunset fly-in from the far viewing platform. Participants are welcome to join CSAS members for dinner at our favorite Thai restaurant in downtown Merced. Details and a map are available on the CSAS web page at www.centralsierraaudubon.org.
