The completely free Father’s Day Fly-In at the Columbia Airport is on the Saturday and Sunday, June 18th and 19th. The gates open at 8 AM on both days. There will be drag races, airplane vs car races, & aerial demonstrations. In the morning, there will be free hot air balloon rides. Saturday night, there will be a bbq dinner and a movie on the runway. For details, it’s fathersdayflyin.org
9:00 – Vendor Booths Open & Rides Begin
At this year’s event, there will be B25, and tethered hot air balloon rides available!
11:30 am to 3:00 pm – Runway Closed for Aerial Demonstrations & Car Drag Racing
If you are flying in, we suggest you try to arrive before 11:30. Temporary tower frequency for the event is 134.7.
3:00 -3:30 pm – Flour bombing & Spot Landing Contest
Sign-ups and information for those who wish to compete will be available at the Info Booth.
5:00 – Saturday Night Dinner
The Sierras Table will be catering this year’s Saturday night dinner!
We are not pre-selling dinner tickets, those will be available at the event, on a first come first served basis! Cost is TBD per plate.
