Thomas William Daniel, born May 4, 1945 passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 at his residence in Jamestown, California.

Born to Thomas and Ruth Daniel, Tom grew up in Cincinnati, OH and, although a Californian since 1978, he was deeply rooted in the people and traditions of his
hometown.

Tom was a Vietnam veteran, having proudly served in the Navy, fighter squadron 32, aboard the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt Aircraft Carrier. He never missed an opportunity to show his gratitude to his fellow veterans for their service.

His career in the computer industry was diversified. Over 45 years, he worked as a product support manager, a data center manager, a software development advisor and more. He loved whatever he was called upon to do at the time and the awards he received were evidence of his dedication and innovation. Retiring in 2013, he retained many of the friendships formed during those years.

Tom was an excellent cook, who loved sharing his creations with appreciative family and friends, always with a good bottle of wine.

Most of all, Tom was a loving and proud husband, father and grandfather (aka Dad and Grandpa Tommy). Being an only child, he particularly enjoyed having bragging rights to an extended family. He is survived by his wife Suzanne, his first wife Susan (Trinnie), children Michelle (Don), Cyndee, Elizabeth, Michael and Tracy, his grandchildren Adam, Matthew and Caitlin and his cousins Dave and Jerry (Michelle).

All that knew him and the suffering he endured are thankful he is at rest in God’s hands now. He left us with some very nice memories to share.

Per Tom’s wishes, only private family services will be held. To continue his legacy of giving, donations may be made to any of his favorite charities: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Wounded Warrior Project and Diana J. White
Cancer Treatment Center in Sonora.
