Saturday is the very popular Calaveras Grape Stomp where more than 100 teams of two are scheduled to compete to crush the most grapes the fastest at Murphys park. Details about the event are in the event listing here.
The Sonora Gun Show will be held at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds this weekend. Details are here. There will also be the Moon Bash, a destruction derby, in the Mother Lode Fairgrounds Arena. Admission is $10 and children 6 and under are free.
Up in Twain Harte enjoy the 11th annual Pints in the Pines Fall Festival. The festival opens at 10 am Saturday and Sunday, details on the bands and beer garden are in the event listing here.
The Foothill Pregnancy Center has organized a walk to raise funds for its services. Participants are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Super Hero. Details about the event are here.
Indoor weekend activities that can be enjoyed include continuing theater performances at various locations, view what is showing at all the local theaters here.
The 40th Annual Bach Festival begins this weekend with several events through out October. The Baroque Singalong Saturday afternoon will cost $5 and feature choral music from the time of Bach, Vivaldi and Handel, and will be held the Church of the 49ers.
Sunday afternoon Come to Tea with Count Dracula and Me or I Vant to drink your……….Tea an event to put on by the Aronos Club.
