Roadwork On Highway 108, 49, 4 And 120
Caltrans road work will impact some commutes in the Mother Lode this week.
Work continues at the Yosemite Junction for a stoplight, as reported here. Pavement work this week is scheduled between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
General shoulder work along the 19 miles of Highway 49 from Chinese Camp to the Tuolumne Calaveras County Line will limit traffic to one-lane and cause 10-minute delays. The work is scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Caltrans will limit traffic to one-lane at night on Woods Creek bridge. The work is scheduled at night from Monday through Friday from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. Motorists should expect 10-minute delays. Other bridge work on the Stanislaus River Bridge will lead to intermittent one-way traffic control and cause 10-minute delays. The work is scheduled from Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
In Tuolumne on Highway 49 from Shaws Flat to Wilcox Ranch Road be aware of tree work that will intermittently limit the highway to one-lane of traffic. The work is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
In Calaveras, on the shoulder of Highway 49 from North Baker Lane to Copello Drive in the Angels Camp/Altaville area, be aware of crews working from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday.
In Calaveras on Highway 4 Calaveras County Water District’s (CCWD) is replacing the pipeline that runs between Avery and Forest Meadows. Expect crews on the right shoulder between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. CCWD officials said the project will continue through the fall, stop during the winter and wrap up next year in the fall of 2020. Project details were released in our news story here.
Continuation of the road striping along 43 miles of HWY 4 from the Old Highway Connector to the Calaveras/Alpine County Line, will cause a moving closure of the one-lane and cause 10-minute delays. The work is scheduled Monday through Friday from 6 AM to 6 PM.
On Highway 26 in Calaveras County at Hwy 49 in the Mokelumne Hill area and along the 20 miles to the Calaveras/Amador County Line road striping may cause 10-minute delays. The work is scheduled Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. There is more road striping on Hwy 26 from the Calaveras/Amador County Line 10 miles to Hwy 12. The work is scheduled Monday through Friday as well, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
In Groveland, on HWY 120 from Ferretti Road to Hopper Street, by the Mary Laveroni Community Park, long-term right shoulder work will continue. Crews are scheduled to work from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. until July 19.
At the Stanislaus/Tuolumne County Line and for 15 miles be aware of shoulder work and lane restrictions. Crews plan to be working from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Caltrans asks motorists to obey signage and flaggers while slowing down around crews and equipment in the cone zones. These road projects are subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction-related issues.
