Yoga is definitely one of the most misunderstood exercises. Many people have it in their mind that it’s just about stretching, breathing and not really a workout. The first yoga class I ever went to I remember sweating more than I had in my entire life and the day after I was sore in places I never even knew existed.
People also often neglect working their core. All movement is generated through the midline and even if you’re working out your arms, the force travels through your core. Working on your core will help you in all areas of fitness.
